Battle Pups
When a child is going through something difficult a stuffed animal can bring comfort. The Martin family began a non-profit called Way to Battle after their son, Blake, was diagnosed with cancer. They want every child and their siblings to have something to hold onto as they battle through their illness. You can nominate your child for a free Battle Pup on their website today. www.waytobattle.com
A Special Wish Foundation Inc.
A Special Wish Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to granting wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses from birth through and including age 20.
Originating in 1982, A Special Wish Foundation (ASW) has granted over 4,000 “special” wishes. ASW was the first wish-granting organization in Ohio and the third in the nation at the time. It was founded by the late Ramona Fickle, a former hospice volunteer, who was concerned about the lack of services for children with life-threatening illnesses.
In the past 42 years, the Foundation has never turned down a qualifying wish in its home state of Ohio and has granted the “special” wishes of thousands of children with life-threatening illnesses. A Special Wish is currently serving children in Ohio and the Chicago area.

Live Like Bella Childhood Cancer Foundation
The Live Like Bella® Childhood Cancer Foundation would like to offer its love and support to families whose children are battling cancer.
Central to their mission are two indispensable programs:
In-Treatment Assistance: Through their In-Treatment Assistance Program, they provide families with essential support to provide some relief with an array of day-to-day expenses such as utilities, medical co-payments, transportation, and food, so families can focus on what truly matters: caring for their child.
Memorial Assistance: When a child goes to Heaven too soon, the Memorial Assistance Program offers a warm and helping hand to cover costs associated with funeral and burial expenses, and ensuring families can honor their child with the love and dignity that they so deserve.

CLIC Childhood Cancer & Leukemia International Consortium
“Despite encouraging advances in treatment, childhood leukemia and cancer continue to take a heavy toll. Parents and researchers alike want to know the causes and whether prevention is possible. This is especially challenging for a set of diseases that are both very diverse and relatively rare. Which is why CLIC, with its advantages of scale, geographic spread, and multi-disciplinary skills is uniquely placed to interrogate the most promising ideas.“ More information about CLIC is available at www.clic.ngo.
